Happy New Year 2020 Revision - Ages

Welcome to Milford Youth Lacrosse, CT (MYL)

Spring 2020 Registration

MYL is a member of the CT and NY Lacrosse Association (CONNY), and US Lacrosse. Our spring season runs from mid-March through early June. All dates and times are TBD.

Wherewww.milfordyouthlacrosse.org  --  Click on “Register TAB"

Time:  Now to January 22nd, 11:59pm

Fees:  Bantam = $200;

Lightning, Junior, and Senior = $250

Registration Fee includes:

US Lacrosse Membership and Insurance

CONNY Membership Dues and Tournament Fees

MYL Field Maintenance, Team Equipment, Tournament/Jamborees, Referee and Assignor Fees, and Senior Night

Age Eligibility:

In order to keep as many players as possible with their grade classmates, without compromising safety by encouraging too wide age spreads, the CONNY Board of Directors has moved the oldest birthday permitted for each year group from the September 1st to the July 1st preceding the season (except 14U Seniors for which the birthday eligibility date remains the March 1st preceding the season to accommodate very old-in-grade 8thgraders who would not otherwise have a place to play in the spring). Thus, the 2020 player segmentation birthday cutoff dates will be:

CONNY Age Division US Lax Age Designation Born On Or After:
Senior 14U 01-Mar-05
Senior 13U 01-Jul-06
Junior 12U 01-Jul-07
Junior 11U 01-Jul-08
Lightning 10U 01-Jul-09
Lightning 9U 01-Jul-10

Uniforms are NOT included in the registration fee. All players are required to have an MYL jersey and MYL shorts. Our uniforms have not changed, so returning players can wear their uniforms from last year. If you decide to order a new uniform for your player, their number will remain the same.

All NEW players must order a uniform after completing registration. This uniform can be used for future seasons, so please consider ordering sizes that will allow for your player’s growth (Sizing charts are included on the uniform order pages). An MYL representative will contact you about choosing a number once the orders are fulfilled.

Optional shooting shirts and socks are available for all players to purchase on each of the ordering pages.

All orders need a 4 week lead time, so it is extremely important to order everything needed immediately after registering. ON-LINE STORE CLOSES 1/29/2020

Lacrosse Skills CT goal is to helps players to develop an understanding of their skills, build confidence in their abilities as lacrosse players and stress the importance of being a student athlete. No matter their lacrosse IQ, these progressions drills are an integral part to a player’s development. Muscle memory plays an important role in each step of the progression, allowing the lacrosse player to repeat each skill with the goal of mastery.
